Story
This winter, abandoned cats are more vulnerable than ever. Cat abandonment has increased by over 30% in the past year, with every story highlighting the urgent need for support.
Take Otis and Wilbur, two tiny brothers found alone in the woods on a cold, damp Sunday morning. Just 6 weeks old, they were abandoned with nothing ā no carrier, no box, left to fend for themselves. Miraculously, the kittens were dry when discovered, suggesting theyād been left only hours earlier.
One kitten was frantically trying to climb a tree for safety, while his brother huddled below. Thanks to the quick action of kind strangers, Otis and Wilbur were brought to a nearby RSPCA center, which immediately reached out to our dedicated Dorset Cat Centre team for emergency care.
Thanks to the tireless efforts of our team and the generosity of supporters like you, Otis and Wilbur received the warmth, food, and love they so desperately needed. Today, theyāre happy, healthy, and have just been reserved for adoption. But sadly, there are many more cats still needing our help this winter.
Your donation will enable our Dorset Cat Centre team to continue rescuing, caring for, and rehoming abandoned cats like Otis and Wilbur. Every contribution goes directly toward providing warmth, nourishing food, and expert veterinary care, giving these vulnerable cats a second chance at life.
