Our chosen cause is the Cheltenham and Gloucester Hospitals Charity. Nearly every member of our team has used the services of our local hospitals at one time, so we’re absolutely delighted to be able to lend our support.

Through several members of our team participating in this year's Run Cheltenham event, we’re helping the charity’s hospitals go even further in caring for people across the region. In particular, we’re making contributions towards the Gloucestershire Oncology Centre and their fight against cancer, funding innovative equipment, specialist research roles, and more.

This cause is very personal to me as I needed to visit the Oncology Centre regularly for over 2 years for chemotherapy and radiotherapy and have used some of the equipment that our fundraising will go towards. I’m still under the lymphoedema team now; the recovery is never ending.

The Focus team at the Oncology Centre are fantastic for advice and support, from things like treatment parking permits, wigs, financial advice etc. We are extremely fortunate to have this care and these facilities in our region.

This is a huge challenge for me, I am NOT a distance runner, I’m more of a sprinter to the bar 🍺
