Story
I can hardly believe my luck at getting the opportunity to do this again!!!
I ran / walked / crawled the London Marathon in 2022 in memory of my Dad to raise money for Severn Hospice and thought that would be a once in a lifetime experience. I applied for 2024 thinking I would be very unlikely to get a place again...and I didn't. Months later I've had a phone call from the hospice to say that sadly a member of the team had dropped out, would I like a place?!!!! YES PLEASE!!!
Unfortunately I haven't kept up the running since 2022 and only seem to have the motivation to put my trainers on when I'm trying to raise money!! So it will be like starting from scratch again!!
Severn Hospice cared for my Dad when he was dying. He spent over 4 weeks at the hospice and was looked after so wonderfully. I will feel forever indebted to them for making those last weeks as comfortable and dignified for him as possible.
Any donation will be so gratefully received and help towards ensuring that Severn Hospice and all of the fantastic services that it provides are there for the next family when they need them.
Thank you xx
Severn Hospice is with families from the moment they're referred to its care for as long as they need it, and it does this every day, all day for anyone in Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin and Mid Wales who needs that help.
It does this for them for free, but it is not without cost and it can't happen without you. For every £1 you donate, the hospice will spend 88p directly on care – and use the remaining 12p to make another £1.
Last year, all those individual donations meant the hospice could be there when it mattered for 3,000 local families.
