Story
In August this year, I will be travelling with a group of volunteers to Ethiopia to Hanna Orphans Home (HOH), a community based organisation in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia where I will be teaching and working with the children for 2 weeks.
HOH cares for and supports over 250 people, including orphaned and vulnerable children, parents/guardians of sponsored children within the community, the elderly and the wider community.
Ahead of this trip I'm fundraising through a number of ways both through events, cake sales and at the end of March my partner Adam completed the coast to coast walk across the UK and walking 190 miles over 12 days. ⛰️🙌

About Hanna's Orphans Home...
HOH cares for and supports over 250 people, mostly children from pre-school to university students. It has a community based housing model, groups of around 6, providing shelter and protection for the most vulnerable. It provides food, clothing, medical treatment, education, and counselling. It not only supports the orphaned children, but the wider community, including Alumni (Children who have grown up in the orphanage and are now going to University), the elderly, widows and mothers in the community.
Hanna's Orphanage is a UK based volunteer led charity who supports Hanna's Orphans Home. They work hard to provide any supplies they need and raises funds to support them. It is a charity purely ran by volunteers and so you can always be told exactly where your money has been spent!
So far Hanna's Orphanage has been able to provide basic necessities like food, clothing, and educational materials. They have recently funded the purchase of beds, so that every child has somewhere comfortable to sleep, bought a car for the organisation - that way they can make food purchases in bulk and take the children for regular medical checks without interruption, university scholarships, desks for the classrooms and more. Please help us to continue this support.
My work (Bayes Business School) are funding the trip for me and the group so any donations will go 100% to the charity. Any donations you can offer for this trip will be so appreciated and will really help such an amazing cause. There will be lots of events and activities (many many bake sales) taking place in the lead up to the trip to raise as much as I can!
A HUGE thank you in advance, I know money is tight right now, your support and generosity is so appreciated!
