Story

On Sunday 24th March 2024 a team of friends and family will be taking part in the Eastleigh 10K Run. The team are raising funds for Friends of the Family, a small, local charity based in Winchester.

The team are hoping to raise £3,000 but only need to find £1,500 - thanks to Michael Piper and Pangea Insurance who are sponsoring the team and have agreed to match any donations raised up to the value of £1,500. So, for every pound donated, £2 will go towards supporting Friends of the Family’s fantastic work.

The charity supports families who are experiencing difficult life circumstances and helps them to face the future with confidence. The charity runs a project for Mums and Young Children, a Befriending Service for children aged 5-13 and an initiative for Dads which includes work with Dads in Winchester prison. For more information about Friends of the Family and the difference they make for local families please visit www.fotfwinchester.org.

"The good you bring to the world is priceless," Nick, Dads support.

If you are local and free on Sunday 24th March, please do come along to watch the run and cheer the team on.

With very best wishes

Cat, Marty, Jane, Shelley and everyone in the Friends of the Family 10K Team
