Story

OSCAR's Paediatric Brain Tumour Charity are running, sliding and bouncing over 5k of massive inflatables to raise money to support children with brain tumours and their families, raise awareness of signs and symptoms of this terrible disease, and fund research into better and kinder treatments.

We will be running ten years after Oscar Hughes died of a brain tumour aged just 9. His charity has helped so many other children in the same situation and the team taking on the run are doing so to help even more.

A number of runners are part of 'Team Alf' running in memory of ten-year-old North Yorkshire boy, Alfie Hutchinson, who died of a brain tumour in March of this year. OSCAR's are very grateful to all the runners for their support and will continue to work with Alfie's family and school for as long as they need us.

About the charity

OSCAR's PBTC was set up in memory of Oscar Hughes, a 9-year-old who died of a brain tumour in 2014. His journey was heartbreaking yet inspiring. OSCAR's aims to provide support and care to children with brain tumours, raise awareness to help diagnosis and fund research into better treatments.
