In September 2022 I was diagnosed with tonsil cancer and a secondary in my lymph glands. After an operation to remove both my tonsils I was then sent to Clatterbridge Cancer Centre, Liverpool for a 6 week intense course of radiotherapy and chemotherapy. This centre is absolutely amazing and supported both Carys and myself through the time I was under them. They made the journey as easy and stress free as possible.

So when I saw I could abseil down the building, 150ft! having had chemo on the top floor and radio in the basement, I thought I could do that while giving a little bit back to the wonderful team and help others like they helped me.
