I'm raising money for Anthony Nolan because the love of my life was saved by the generosity of a stranger donating stem cells in 2019.

ABOUT THE FUNDRAISER: I'm Simon Carter, a comedy writer and performer based in Nottinghamshire, UK. My odd hobby is to write, record and occasionally release comedy / parody songs like I'm the UK's answer to Weird Al Yankovic, or something. LOOK. I'M NOT RUBBISH. Many of these songs have been professionally produced and have had air time on the radio and whatnot, so enough of that doubt and derision, thank you. Seriously. Stop it. What are you like?

Upshot is, in 2027, I'll have been doing this for 35 years, man and man child. It's a milestone, right?

SO, I'M RELEASING A COMEDY / PARODY ALBUM (a double album - coo!) featuring songs recorded as far back as 1992 and as recently this afternoon in June 2026 when I've had this Pot Noodle. The album (as yet untitled) will be released online in November / December 2026 and will be free to stream on the album's SoundCloud platform when it's launched.

IMPORTANT HONESTY CLAUSE: The album's a completely not-for-profit project and there'll be no charge to stream it or download tracks. So, if you're cheeky and want to listen to it for free when it's released, I guess you could, and I couldn't stop you. But if you wanted to listen to it and make a discretionary donation to Anthony Nolan this is what I think you really ought to do, to be fair.

The album's far from ready yet, so I'll keep you posted on here on how things are progressing. It would be great to make £500 - and more if there's both a will, and a way.
