Story

My family have always have always supported St John’s Hospice as far back as I can remember, with both my Nanna and Grandad talking part in events and fundraising and they also took me and and my little sister along to help with jumble sales and fun runs. It was just something we did as my Aunt worked there and I didn’t think too much about it. Then a few years back my father in law Chris became terminally ill very unexpectedly and quickly. He was past from different hospital and wards and my family rallied round going back and forth to the varies hospitals it was a very stressful and upsetting time . Chris was then offered a space at the hospice for his end of life Care and the way the hospice looked after not only Chris but the rest of the family was second to none. It was such a lovely place for us all to able to spend time with Chris before he sadly passed away. My family were fortunate enough to have a bed available to give Chris a loving and caring environment for his last few weeks and I have experienced 1st hand what a difference that the hospice makes to families in a truly difficult and distressing time but it cannot keep running without the help and support of charity funding. It was on my Grandads Bucket list to see the Great Wall of China so this seem like a really fitting way for my to try and raise some much needed money for this amazing cause - please help by donating if you can - every penny helps xx

Please note that a percentage of the funding raised will go towards the cost of the Trek.
