Story
On the 14th April 2024 I will be running the Manchester Marathon raising money for The Christie Charity.
I will be running in memory of my Nana, Janet Peake, who sadly lost her battle with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma on the 5th January 2003 aged 73.
Following her diagnose she underwent a number of treatments at The Christie. This included being part of one of the many pioneering trials which have been funded by the trust over the years, continuing to further cancer treatment and improve the prognosis for many of those who have been diagnosed since.
Any donation however small or large can make a huge impact so thank you in advance for anything you can give!
More information about The Christie: The Christie Charity provides enhanced services over and above what the NHS funds. Gifts from the public make a huge difference to the care and treatment that The Christie is able to provide to our patients and their families. The Christie NHS Foundation Trust who we solely support, is the largest single site cancer centre in Europe, treating more than 60,000 patients a year.
