Story

**Dancing for Peter: My Rumba Challenge for Nightingale House Hospice**

The 148 journey continues…

As I put on my dancing shoes, I feel a profound mix of excitement and nerves. This isn't just any other dance challenge; this is my heartfelt journey to conquer the Rumba in memory of an incredible legend—Peter, who we sadly lost last year and it’s for a cause close to my heart—Nightingale House Hospice in Wrexham, but even more importantly in memory of Peter Gibson (Ani, my best friends father) Both Ani & her father danced the Rumba on her wedding day!

Peter embodied the spirit of dance, radiating joy and passion with every step he took. He inspired everyone around him with his kindness and love for life, and now I want to honour his legacy by taking on this challenge for a cause that means so much to our community —Nightingale House Hospice in Wrexham.

You might think trekking the Arctic and the Jordanian Desert were my greatest challenges, think 🤔 again! Dancing the Rumba is a whole new ball game!

The Arctic taught me about endurance and resilience, but now I'm stepping into the world of rhythm and grace. 🙈🙈

The Rumba is a dance that tells a story of love and passion, and I aim to share that passion not only through my movements but by raising vital funds for those who need support in our Wrexham community.

Over the next few weeks, I’ll be dedicating countless hours to practice, facing the challenge head-on, and learning to move to the music in ways I never thought possible!

Each step, each sway, is not just about perfecting my dance but also about making a difference in the lives of those who rely on the compassionate care provided by the incredible Nightingale House.

I invite you to join me on this journey. Your support, whether through encouragement, sharing this challenge, or donating, will motivate me to push through the tough moments!

Together, we can make this a memorable experience that not only showcases the beauty of dance in memory of Peter, but also highlights the importance of community support.

Let’s twirl, dip, and sway for a cause that matters. Every donation will bring us one step closer to helping those in need. Thank you for being part of this incredible journey—let’s dance our way to making a difference!

Good luck also to my fellow contestants! Looking forward to sharing the journey together!
