I'm am personally effected by kidney disease. And has affected many generations of my family.

At present there is no cure .

My family and I live with the content realization that the only way forward will be waiting for our kidneys to fail get to a point that they can no longer function without Dialysis three times week, While you wait for a transplant .

I'm doing this challenge to raise funds for ground break research. That could possibly help my children to have to not worry about passing it on to their children.

In 2024 Kidney Care UK launched its first ever national awareness campaign, celebrating our #BloodyAmazingKidneys. The response was, quite frankly, bloody amazing!

Over 110,000 people completed its online risk checker to see if they might be at increased risk of kidney disease and the campaign was shared far and wide across the UK. It continues to run the campaign in 2025 and beyond – if you haven’t already still you can support and share.
