Story
The Big Bake is back! We’re calling on the brain tumour community to help us raise lots of dough this September by holding a Big Bake.
Brain tumours are the biggest cancer killer of children, teens and adults under 40, but only around 3% of UK funding for cancer research is spent on brain tumours.
I was diagnosed back in 2021 with a brain tumour. After undergoing two brain surgeries, one to remove the tumour, the other to remove infected skull, I am now, thankfully on the road to recovery.
The Brain Tumour Charity supported me through every step and still do on my 'off days'! My way of saying thank you to them is to have become one of their Charity Ambassadors. Not just helping to raise essential funds, but also raising awareness of brain tumours.
St Wulfram's Church, Living Health and The Garden Yard in Grantham have all kindly offered to host Big Bakes for me in September. These will be cash only events, so this page has been set up to help all those wishing to donate via card.
Every penny we raise will help us fund new ground-breaking research, deliver life-changing support services and campaign for the needs of people affected by a brain tumour.
Thank you.
