My mum was a remarkable woman whose caring nature, strength, and compassion, touched the lives of everyone she met. In March 2025, I’ll be embarking on the climb of a lifetime — scaling Mount Everest — and I’m doing so in honour of her memory and to raise funds for causes that meant the world to her.

My trek to the base camp of Everest began being planned in 2023. I wanted to push myself and this seemed like the ultimate challenge. Shortly after booking this trip, my mum was suddenly taken ill and sadly lost her battle to cancer only 12 short weeks from diagnosis. In her last few days of life, she wanted me to promise her one thing …. That I would continue as planned to climb my mountain. I’ll be undertaking this journey, not only to challenge myself but also to honour her last wishes.
