Story

Despite our fitness levels being far from ideal and against our better judgment, we have bravely/naively 🫣 signed up for the Worcester City 10k on September 15th 2024.

We are not naturally athletic by any means, but we are determined to push ourselves beyond our limits to raise money for an organisation that holds a very special place in our hearts, RoadPeace.

RoadPeace has been a pillar of support for us since we tragically lost our baby boy Freddie in a road traffic collision just days before we were due to get married. What should have been the happiest time turned into the most devastating.

In the aftermath of this tragedy, we found ourselves in the darkest period of our lives. RoadPeace has been there every step of the way, providing the support and guidance we needed to keep going. They have helped us navigate our grief, and they continue to stand by our side as we seek justice for Freddie.

RoadPeace undertake the most incredible work, supporting countless families who have experienced the trauma of losing a loved one in a road traffic collision. They advocate for road safety, provide emotional and practical support to those affected, and campaign for justice and safer roads.

By participating in this 10k run, we hope to give back to RoadPeace and ensure they can continue their vital work providing ongoing support to families like ours.

Please help us make a difference by supporting RoadPeace!

RoadPeace is the national charity for road crash victims. We provide practical and emotional support to victims through a helpline, befriender network, and information guides on the legal procedures that follow a crash. RoadPeace also campaigns for justice for victims and road danger reduction policies that champion the needs of vulnerable road users. RoadPeace won the Guardian Charity Award winners in 2008. Help us make the world a safer and fairer place.
