Polar Plunge 2024 · 17 February 2024 ·

We’re calling on all hardy souls to swim 50m in the freezing waters of the Sandford Parks Lido in Cheltenham on Saturday 17th February 2024. Why? All the money you raise will help us support grieving children, young people and their families.

Story

Pleeeease back me and support Winston's Wish while I swim through the freeeze!!

On Saturday 17th February I'm going to do a 50m cold water swim of the Sandford Lido - 100m is the dream. I've not been able to swim for over 18 months so it may end up a doggy-paddle effort... no training, no prep, just full-on going to do it. I've been told it's not a good idea right now but that's a green light for me as I feel more able to ask for you to *please please please* donate anything at all you can spare for a fantastic cause that means a lot to me. I've promised to raise £50, it would be amazing to get more!

Winston’s Wish is a charity that helps children, teenagers and young adults (up to the age of 25) find their feet when their worlds are turned upside down by grief. Through information, on-demand services, bereavement support and counselling, we support young people to understand their feelings, process their grief and find ways to move forward with hope for a brighter future.

No child should have to face grief alone.

Thank you xx
