THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR YOUR SUPPORT - YOU HAVE BEEN AMAZINGLY GENEROUS!! IT IS GREATLY APPRECIATED!! Please see some pictures from the walk in gallery! It was so incredibly tough!!! Everything now hurts and it'll take a few days to recover, so your donations mean so much!!
Thank you for visiting my JustGiving page supporting the MND Association.
I will be walking 100 km to raise money for Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association on 6th July 2024 in memory of my step dad Jon Gordon.
Jon died from complications of MND on 24th May 2023 aged 67.
He was a talented singer, guitarist and guitar teacher. He loved to tell stories and entertain people. Music was his life. His Dad bought him his first Gibson guitar when he was 14.
Jon brought me up from when I was 5 years old, and he was a loving Dad to both his son, Sam, and me. Our family suffered a tragedy when my brother Sam died suddenly in 2018. Jon understandably never fully recovered from this. A number of years of ill health followed, a heart attack, then almost full body paralysis from the extremely rare Guillian-Barre Syndrome. He fought hard to walk again and he even got back to playing the guitar, but then the MND came along and that finally beat him.
I am walking with my friend Amanda, who also tragically lost her brother Owen in 2020. We will also raising money for MIND but cannot add the 2 charities onto one funding page. Here is the link our the MIND fundraising page:
We would be grateful if you could split any donations between the 2 charities as both causes are very important to us.
Thank you for time and any support you can give.
