Caroline & Laura's London Marathon 2025 fundraiser for Bliss | Supporting Families with Premature Babies

London Marathon 2025 · 27 April 2025 · Start fundraising for this event
Ever since Caroline's son Zach was born prematurely at 32 weeks, she has known firsthand the challenges families of premature babies face. That’s why Caroline and Laura are running the 2025 London Marathon together to raise money for Bliss.
Laura and Caroline have been running together since early last year and took on the Humber Bridge Half Marathon in September. Now, they’re so excited to take on the London Marathon as a team, pushing each other every step of the way to support this incredible cause.
Zach’s arrival was early and unexpected. Born at 32 weeks, weighing just 2lbs, he was separated from Caroline for 36 hours while she recovered from preeclampsia and HELLP syndrome in ICU. When Caroline was finally well enough to leave ICU and meet him, she was overwhelmed with emotion—he was so tiny but full of fight.
Bliss was a great support. They provided all the literature needed and offered support groups that helped Caroline cope with the stress of having a premature baby in the neonatal ward. They also provided some advice on navigating 8 weeks of early maternity leave while caring for Zach in NICU for 6 weeks and running her own business.
Zach is now 7 years old and full of life - Caroline is one of the lucky ones to bring her baby home!
Bliss is a fantastic charity that does incredible work supporting families of premature babies. Your donation will help Bliss continue to provide vital support to families like Caroline’s.
Together, Caroline and Laura have set a goal to raise £5,000 to help Bliss continue providing emotional support groups, financial assistance, and advice to families facing this difficult time.
Every donation, big or small, will make a difference.
