Marden Foodbank

Marden Church Foodbank is headed up by the Vicar Rev’d Nicky Harvey and Kathy Young, the Youth and Children’s minister. This foodbank was set up at the start of the 2020 lockdown but has continued to provide support to those whose life circumstances have changed.

As part of the Bethany School enrichment carousel, we have been taking pupils to both buy food to support the foodbank and to help with the organisation of the food, helping to check stock, date new items and help ensure food is handed out according to the use by dates. Pupils have enjoyed the time they have spent making a difference with the foodbank, and we know that the offerings we collect will be greatly received and will help many people at this time.
