Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am raising money for a charity which is very close to my heart. I never met Rory Tiger who is a close relative to a very good friend of mine. Rory became very poorly and spent a long time in Manchester children's hospital. Rory fought so hard to overcome his illness but sadly he he fell asleep and went to live with the angels. No family should have to experience this. Rory was only 2 years old. A much loved Brother, son, Grandson and nephew. Rory was transferred to Derian house where his close family could spend very precious times with him. Rory's mum is so brave and to help other families she has created 'Rory's box' to which every child who falls asleep their family receive this box to help them to spend time with their much loved child.
I have run two marathons in memory of Rory and this year I will run the Great North run. This is 13.1 miles and I dedicate every mile to all the children who fall asleep for the last time. Please donate however small as every penny will go to Derian house who do an amazing job caring for children whether for respite care or palliative care.
I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
