Story
As a group of close friends we frequently challenge each other to step outside of our comfort zones. We do daft challenges like Tough Mudder and The Three Peaks to spend quality time together; laughing, joking and supporting each other.
This challenge is particularly important for us. Cancer has touched each of our lives in one way or another. But recently it has hit us and those we love hard.
We will be taking part in a sponsored Dragon Boat Race, dressed up as animals in 'Mosses Arc'.
We want to raise as much money for cancer research as we can to show our friends our love at this exceptionally difficult time and to hopefully prevent others from having to go through this.
Please donate whatever you can.
Addenbrookes
With your help Addenbrooke's Charitable Trust want to change the story of cancer!
Funds raised through the 2024 Dragon Boat Festival will enable us to build the new Cambridge Cancer Research Hospital.
The Cambridge Cancer Research Hospital will herald a transformative approach to cancer. Situated at the heart of Cambridge’s thriving life sciences eco-system, the brand-new hospital will unite the NHS, academia and industry in a powerful collaboration that will bring scientific discoveries and technological advances from the lab bench to the patient bedside as rapidly as possible. The Cambridge Cancer Research Hospital will pioneer new ways to detect cancer earlier and treat it in a more personalised way. The breakthroughs and innovations that we deliver will change the way cancer is treated far beyond Cambridge, benefiting people living with cancer across the UK and globally.
Thank you for help us improve care for patients today at Addenbrooke’s, and for generations to come
