This year I am joining fellow CAs by taking part in 'Foundation 25' to raise funds for the ICAS Foundation.

'Foundation 25' is asking for 25 CAs to fundraise together to support the next generation of accounting professionals, and collectively raise our target of £25,000. Each CA is undertaking a personal challenge to raise £1,000 each.

I've chosen to walk 25 miles along the John Muir Way from Edinburgh to North Berwick, replicating my train commute, to reach my £1,000 target.

The ICAS Foundation supports academically talented students from disadvantaged communities to study accountancy and finance at university, offering bursary funding, mentoring support and help with finding internships and graduate jobs.

As a charity that relies on donations, the Foundation couldn’t do what they do without the help of ICAS members and other supporters, and they need your support more than ever before. Applications continue to rise each year, and this year there was a record-breaking number of young people applying for funding.
