Story
Mind Over Mountains is a ground-breaking charity helping people overcome mental health challenges through therapeutic outdoor experiences.
On the 27th September, colleagues from BUPA will be taking on the London Royal Parks challenge in aid of Mind Over Mountains 'Project 500' campaign - to help them raise £500,000 by June 2025, so they can provide more mental health support in nature to everyone who needs it across the UK. This challenge involves a 28-mile walk from Hampton in west London to Greenwich in east London, which takes at least 13 hours.
I’m excited to be part of it and help them achieve this goal. Over the past few months walking has been a lifeline, helping me navigate some tough times. Just putting one foot in front of the other has been incredibly healing. By achieving my target of raising £500 for Mind Over Mountains I'll help many more people enjoy the benefits of getting outdoors and walking! Their specialist wellbeing walks and retreats bring together professionally guided hill-walking, mindfulness, and quality time with experienced coaches and counsellors.
My goal isn’t just about completing the challenge; it’s about proving to myself that I can push through self-doubt and hopefully come out of it with a sense of accomplishment and a little more resilience. I hope that by sharing my journey, I can inspire others who might feel the same way.
Please donate if you can, every little helps - thank you!
