Story
The Childrens Health Foundation holds a really special place in my heart and has been a big part of our life since Seth was born. The foundation provides homes away from home (Jeneece Place and Q̓ᵂalayu House) for families to stay while accessing out of town care for their children. Along with the homes away they also provide financial support through the Bear Essentials program which provides financial assistance for health-related travel and equipment for Vancouver Island children.
Seth was born with unknown congenital heart disease and a genetic syndrome. We were flown to Victoria at two days old and were so fortunate to have Jeneece place to call home while he was admitted. Since birth we have had multiple appointments both on the Island and at BC Childrens Hospital. The Childrens Health Foundation has helped ease the financial stress of these appointments. Seth has a long road ahead and I am so grateful for the support of the Childrens Health Foundation.
I asked how I could give back…There is a radiothon happening June 15 at the Q̓ᵂalayu House and I am reaching out to friends, family and my customers to considering donating to such an amazing cause. My employer Great West Equipment is an event sponsor this year and Seth and I will be doing a radio interview as well as a donation presentation at the event.
Thank you so much
Love
