I want to use this opportunity to raise money for the charity Weston Hospicecare. This is a charity that personally means a lot to me and my family.

In March 2024 my grandfather Michael Francis Heath was admitted to Weston Hospicecare following an end-of-life cancer diagnosis. My family got to see first-hand the incredible work and facilities that the Weston Hospicecare offer.

Palliative care is never an easy time for any family but the care and support that was offered to us from everyone at Weston Hospicecare was outstanding. Our family was treated with the upmost love & respect and Weston hospicecare allowed my grandfather to pass away peacefully with dignity.

Their support doesn’t end when a loved one dies. Weston Hospicecare offers families access to free aftercare counselling for those who need it.

At Weston Hospicecare, our team of palliative care experts is dedicated to working together to provide specialist support. Our social, emotional, psychological, spiritual and physical care helps guide people through one of the most difficult experiences they will ever face. With only 20% of our funding coming from the NHS, we have to raise £5.5 million each year to fund our care - something that's only made possible by our community.
