Story
Well in 2012 I qualified for the New York Marathon and got all the way there before it was cancelled due to a terrible storm! Circumstances did not allow me to carry forward my place and the last couple of years I have entered the ballot with about a 1 in 35 chance of getting in. Expecting to be rejected I entered the ballot again and a couple of months ago I got the surprise email to say I was in. So 11 years later I will be running the New York Marathon for RSBC, the best charity, really making a difference to blind and partially sighted children all over England and Wales. The difference you can make for RSBC with your support of my run means children and young people can live their life without limits.
As my old bones train again after the Ultra Marathon in April, help me get the motivation to train through Summer for this amazing opportunity.
Gareth will be there cheering me on (assuming he finds his way round without me!!!!) and then I hope buying me a rather large drink afterwards!
A penny or a pound or 2 is all very very welcome.
Thanks for your support for this old girl!!!
