We (Biffa Corporate Accounts Team ) are raising vital funds to help Waste Aid transform the lives of some of the poorest people in the world by empowering them to find value in waste. With our support, they can increase their incomes while reducing and reusing waste, helping people and the planet to thrive.

We are planning to collectively walk/ run (virtually ) from Aylesbury to the Gambia throughout the summer which is 2776 miles !

A member of the team was lucky enough to be given the opportunity to visit The Gambia in February of this year and see how funds we raise really do transform lives.

Waste Aid is Biffa`s chosen corporate charity and we have been supporting them since 2019.

Why does Biffa support Waste Aid ?

There are many countries where formal waste management services are not provided – hard as that might be for us to imagine – which is why, so often, waste ends up being disposed of in rivers (and ultimately ends up in the sea). Wasteaid is helping to tackle this issue at source and the money that we raise will go towards new infrastructure in these communities so that used plastic bottles and cans etc. can be recycled effectively instead of being wasted
