I am walking from Swansea to Cardiff to raise funds for the brilliant charity 2wish, which does so much caring and devoted work to provide bereavement support to those affected by the sudden death of a young person.

Starting on Saturday, 9th September, I will begin my walk from Swansea City centre to the offices of Mooneerams Solicitors, in North Cardiff, along the Wales Coastal path and then up through Cardiff City Centre to Mooneerams offices near Tongwynlais, a total distance of 77 miles. I aim to arrive at the Mooneerams office on the afternoon of Wednesday 13th September.

I am a solicitor at Mooneerams, the Personal Injury Solicitors. Our Charity of the Year, 2023, is 2wish. The founder of 2wish, Rhian Mannings, is a unique and inspiring person who set the charity up after she lost her baby son George, who was only one year, one month and one day old, from a seizure. Then, just five days later, Rhian’s husband, Paul, tragically died.

Listening to Rhian telling her story at the 2wish offices in Llantrisant was moving and inspiring in equal measures. Rarely have someone's words had such a profound effect on me. I resolved, there and then, to do something challenging, to raise money for 2wish. The seed of a long walk was sown!

Please help me raise as much money as possible to ensure 2wish can continue providing bereavement support and help for all those in need after sudden death in young people.
