I'm taking part in the London Marathon and comitting to doing a half marathon in training every week from January to week before the event, that's 16 1/2 marathons.

I have chosen this path to support those that fight to save themselves

Where do your donations go?

1. A roof over their heads; toiletries, clothes, safety, love and support.

2. A new phone/number to communicate with loved ones to let them know she is safe after she’s fled an abuser.

3. Pay for escape from her abuser, safety in our refuges all while providing one-to-one support for a child fleeing domestic violence

Refuge staff are on hand to support each resident with her individual needs. This might include supporting women with:

o Safety planning

o Finding a safe new home

o Budgeting, debt discussions and discussing access to welfare benefits

o Accessing health services

o Finding nurseries and schools

o Accessing local community and cultural services

o Support to access civil and criminal remedies and legal advice

o Training, education, and employment
