Story
On 12th September Carl Grisley and Laurence Causabon Vincent will embark on a 1,600-mile scooter ride on classic, geared Vespas in aid of Bulldog Rescue and Rehoming.
Day 1: We'll set off from Land's End on Thursday, 12th September and head to Stoke on Trent.
Day 2: Up with the lark and on the road to Dalwhinnie in central Scotland.
Day 3: If our rear ends (not the scooters'!) will take it, then it's full steam ahead to John O'Groats for a quick photo and a haggis lunch. Then head south back to Dalwhinnie.
Day 4: Down through Scotland, over Hadrian's Wall and into Northallerton in North Yorkshire for a chips and gravy supper.
Day 5: And now it's time to make our way back to Midhurst in Sussex to see Dizzy, Tania and the lovely pups at Bulldog Rescue and Rehoming.
The centre's vet bills are an astronomical £5,000-£10,000 per month so we've set our fundraising target at £2,500 which will pay for the dogs' vet care for just two weeks!
We'd like to say huge thank yous to Carl Cooper, who will be driving the back-up van behind two slow scooters all that way, and to Top Notch Signs and Graphics for providing the back-up van.
To make sure we raise as much money for the bulldogs as we can, we are covering all expenses ourselves.
