I am doing this run for 2 reasons:

I’ve been on a very long journey (fitting, right?) to figure out what’s going on with my belly, because for as long as I can remember, I have always struggled with digestive problems. Being in and out of doctor’s rooms, keeping food diaries, eliminating foods, managing stress, etc etc etc. It often feels like one minute I know my triggers, then suddenly I feel like I know nothing!

Although it has been tumultuous, I have learnt so much along the way. I’m excited to share my experiences, and more importantly, learn from others. I know I have so much more to discover and access to this information is important.

The second, and most important reason I’m doing this, is to remember my late grandad, John Anderson, who fought hard to overcome Bowel Cancer. He was a guiding light, and the reason for many of my fondest memories. He sadly lost his battle, leaving a hole in my heart that has been hard to fill. However, I’ve decided to try fill it with new adventures, experiences, and people that I meet along the way, through doing activities in his honour.
