Story
On Sunday 27th July at 4PM, FC Arniston Rangers will take on Edinburgh City Giants at Newbyres Park in a special charity football match held in memory of Campbell James Stevenson and Robbie William Rigley.
The match has been organised by Craig Hall, Chairman of FC Arniston Rangers, and Stu Gray, Chairman of Edinburgh City Giants. It brings together two clubs with close ties to William Stevenson, who currently plays for Arniston and previously played for the Giants.
Tragically, over the past season, two players from Arniston Rangers experienced the heartbreak no parent should ever face — the loss of a child. William and his partner Clare Stevenson lost their son Campbell in November, and another teammate and his partner lost their son Robbie William Rigley.
In the days and weeks that followed, William & Clare received vital support from Held In Our Hearts, a charity that provides specialist baby loss counselling and care to bereaved families across Scotland.
This match is more than just a fixture — it’s a tribute to Campbell and Robbie’s memories, and a show of solidarity for the families and all those who have experienced the unimaginable loss of a child.
All funds raised will go directly to Held In Our Hearts, helping them continue their compassionate work supporting families in their darkest times with counselling, community, and care.
Whether you choose to donate, attend the match, or simply share this page, your support will make a real difference.
In loving memory of Campbell James Stevenson & Robbie William Rigley 💙💛
