Story
Hello, my name is Cameron Aspen me and my very close friend Joe dean are running a half marathon on the 15th September 2024 at Heaton park in Manchester, to raise money for Derian House children’s hospice and spread awareness for Epidermolysis bullossa. Last year on the 22nd December we all lost my best friend of 18 years as he went in to hospital with sepsis and due to his skin condition he wasn’t able have any surgery’s or certain treatment as his skin condition restricted them from happening, so he fought a long, hard battle getting through everyday fighting for his life. Rhys was always such a happy person and it killed us all to see him struggling but he still kept fighting. He was in Bolton hospital for a good few weeks where he was then moved to the Derian House Children’s Hospice, where he was put on end of life treatment and they did such a great job in making him comfortable every day and always being there when he needed it. They truly was amazing we cant thank them enough for what they did and how much they did for Rhys. So we are running to raise money for derian house to help them keep helping people like they did with Rhys.
I’m asking for any donations as I can hopefully get my target but if you cannot donate it’s no problem, a share or a like would be just as much appreciated to spread awareness for my little fighter Rhys.
