Alloa Half Marathon, 17 March 2024
We fund medical equipment and services to give our children the best possible care

Story

A group of staff from Stirling High School have signed up to run the Alloa Half marathon on Sunday 17th March in order to raise money for the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Glasgow and the Heart of Scotland Appeal.

In recent months, 3 members of our school community and their families have been supported by these organisations.

Ms Johnston and Fergus Young both received life saving care from the Neurosurgical Team within The Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Glasgow. We cannot thank them enough for their unfaltering support through these difficult times.

Our beloved janitor, Willie Govan, was a huge part of our school community for many years and is greatly missed. In support of the family, we would like to raise money for the Heart of Scotland Appeal.

About the charity

We help the babies, children and young people treated at Scotland's largest children's hospital, the Royal Hospital for Children, Glasgow. We fund medical equipment, research, play programmes and family support services to ensure that our young patients receive the best possible care and experience.
