2 year old Sophia, Granddaughter of Jenny Kerford, a close friend and work colleague spent 7 months in Manchester Children's Hospital after being diagnosed with a Brain Tumour.

Ronald McDonald House Manchester stepped in and offered them free accommodation for the duration of Sophia's hospital stay. It is impossible for the family to put into words what a lifesaver this was.

Sophia was discharged from hospital on the 2nd June 2023 and has gone from strength to strength in just over 12 months.

She is enjoying weekly swimming lessons and gym sessions, and loves riding her scooter, playing in the park and baking with Grandad.

Cambion have done various events to raise money for this fantastic charity. We have another bake sale to come, and are doing a sponsored walk from Cambion in Castleton to Ronald McDonald House in Manchester on Friday 27th September 2024.
