Story
Human trafficking is one of the most pressing human rights issues of our time. It is a highly organized criminal enterprise that profits off of the misery and exploitation of human beings. An estimated 49.6 million people are victims of human trafficking and modern-day slavery globally. Exploitation includes sexual exploitation, labor exploitation, forced marriage, domestic servitude, criminal exploitation, and organ harvesting, which are all unfathomable crimes.
Just over 14 years ago Hope for Justice was formed in response to this evil. We started so that the voiceless would have a voice, and so that EVERY person could be FREE from modern-day slavery.
When Hope for Justice was formed, our model was put together to strategically disturb the enterprise of human trafficking, which generates $150 billion annually in illicit profits.
Our holistic approach works to:
Prevent exploitation - Through education and community empowerment, we help families and vulnerable people protect themselves against traffickers and the deceptive methods they use to control others.
Rescue victims - Our investigators and outreach teams work with police and other agencies to identify victims of human trafficking and modern slavery, build bridges of trust with them and get them safely out of exploitation.
Restore lives - We provide world-class survivor aftercare, both residential and non-residential. Our legal advocacy and support ensure needs are met and gives the best chance for justice to be done.
and Reform society - We train others on the frontline like police, healthcare workers, charities and many more to spot the signs of modern slavery and to respond effectively. We work with governments and businesses to make change happen.
We are committed to helping as many victims, survivors, and vulnerable people as we can. WE BELIEVE that together we will be the generation to END human trafficking, and we could not do it without people like you. Thank you.
