Robin Hood Half Marathon · 29 September 2024 ·

The Robin Hood Half Marathon is one of the longest established and most popular city centre road events in the UK - great for both seasoned runners and beginners alike!

Story

I'm taking part in the Robin Hood Half Marathon 2024 supporting Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance!

The Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance is one of the UKs leading Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS) Charities, funded purely by the generosity of people like you! They are not part of the NHS and not funded by the Government.

In January 2021 my dad very suddenly and tragically suffered a heart attack and despite the best effort of everyone around sadly passed away. Lincs and Notts air ambulance were the first to respond from the call to my dad and were there in under 15 minutes. The work they do is phenomenal and gave my dad the best chance of survival before his untimely passing. Support like this is needed for them so they can continue to try and save lives.

LNAA transport the equivalent of an A&E department to people suffering from the most serious of illnesses and devastating injuries, providing the best possible treatment as quickly as possible.

It will be a great honour to run for Lincs and Notts air ambulance and a fantastic challenge for myself to run the Robin Hood half marathon. Any donation is greatly appreciated and thank you in advance for your support.
