Story
In 2022, I had to have hip surgery that led to me being in a wheelchair for a month and unable to run or walk properly for nearly a year! I am now nearing back to 100% and eager to make up for lost time!
To kick this off, in March this year, I will be climbing the tallest mountain in Africa, Mount Kilimanjaro. Kilimanjaro is 5895 meters tall and will see me undertake a 6-day trek camping on the mountain.
I am climbing a physical mountain, but whilst doing so I wanted to raise awareness to the thousands of people daily who are climbing mountains much harder than any on earth, a mental mountain. Unfortunately, not everyone is able to conquer their mountain and in 2022 over 4500 men took their own lives, making suicide the biggest killer of men under 40.
Now more than ever, the work of MIND and similar charities is crucial to support people across the UK as we continue to go through uncertain and difficult times.
If you can donate please do, it will be going straight to MIND and every extra £1 I can raise between now and then will be an additional push for me to get out of bed and train ✌️I will post some training updates etc on my Instagram over the next 2 months!
