Story
After having to pull out of the Chester Marathon in May due to Injury, I am now taking part in Claire house does Strictly come dancing in September.
It’s safe to say this is something out of my comfort zone but I’m really looking forward to building on what was raised originally and would appreciate the continued support.
This is all in memory of my nephew Lennon, who sadly passed away on December 17th 2018.
Lennon was born with a congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH) so fighting from birth was always something we knew Lennon would have to do.
After undergoing two major surgery’s and multiple invasive procedures, more and more complications were then discovered.
We would see our Lennon overcome one hurdle but then just be faced with an even bigger one. Lennon spent his entire life in Alder hey hospital, where as a family we got to create 6 months of wonderful memories.
Claire House were involved throughout my sister pregnancy and made regular visits to our family whilst in Alder hey. Once a decision had been made that there was sadly no more that could be done for Lennon, he was transferred into their sole care.
Whilst at Claire House we were able to give Lennon experiences that he had never had before. Feeling sunlight on his skin, taking him for a walk in the fresh air and a beautiful Christening ceremony for our entire family.
Lennon’s final hours were spent in entire comfort and surrounded by the people that loved him most, all provided by Claire House.
Claire House rely heavily on fundraising in order to provide these wonderful moments for families, and this is why I’ve chosen to do this for them.
Everyone thinks their a dancer after a drink or two but this is a completely different ball game!
I would really appreciate your support in reaching my new target of £1500.
Thanks
Callum
