Story
Masjid al-Aqsa is one of the most significant religious sites in Islam, located in the Old City of Jerusalem. During the month of Ramadan, Muslims from all over the world flock to this mosque to attend prayers and break their fasts (iftar) together.
It is important to note that the situation in Palestine, particularly in Jerusalem and the surrounding areas, has been marked by ongoing violence and tension for many years. In recent years, the holy month of Ramadan has been marred by attacks on Masjid al-Aqsa, leading to increased tensions and violence.
Why Give Iftars?
Giving iftar to those in need considered an act of great virtue in Islam. It is not only a means of fulfilling religious obligations, but also an opportunity to extend charity and generosity to the less fortunate.
For many people who attend prayers at Masjid al-Aqsa, particularly those who are poor or homeless, the iftar provided by the mosque or by charitable individuals is their only source of food and sustenance during Ramadan. Your donation can help ensure that these individuals have access to food and can observe the rituals of Ramadan with dignity.
