Story
Brake is a national charity working to prevent road death and injury and support those bereaved and injured in road crashes. There are 5 people die on our roads every day and hundreds more seriously injured.
I work for the National Road Victim Service as a Caseworker. The NRVS team, of which I am a part of, offers months of 1-1 support to individuals or families that have been bereaved or seriously injured through road traffic collisions.
I am always honoured that people feel able to talk to me, and come to our service for support. I am so grateful to hear how our support has been of benefit to those suffering with bereavement or injury. I am fundraising so that my colleagues can continue to provide the amazing support that I know they already do.
£10 - could help a child bereaved by a road crash, by providing their parent or carer with a children’s book explaining what the loss of a loved one means
£60 - could help a primary school to receive a road safety action pack, full of information and activities to teach road safety basics to children
£100 - could help a road victim family to receive support for a month from Brake’s National Road Victim Service
