Story

I'm taking on the challenge of running the Ipswich Half Marathon because I want to help East Anglia's Children's Hospices continue their work supporting families going through the worse situation.

In June 2021, I unfortunately lost one of the strongest people I know- my Grandad. Since that day I have pledged to take on something that's both a physical and mental challenge, in his honor and to prove my own personal strength. For those that know me, running has never been my strength but since using it as a way to support my fitness for Tug of War, have started to enjoy it a lot more.

My grandad was always a charity man, making frequent donations to a number of charities. Having lived in East Anglia for his life and always being a family man, EACH was one of the charities closest to his heart that he regularly donated to.

So here I am, running a Half Marathon in his memory and for him.
