Story
Child maltreatment is a leading cause of death and disability in children in the US.
The CA-CDS Consortium was started in 2021 to bring together a multi-disciplinary group of experts with the goals of:
(1) improving the ability of medical providers to accurately identify, evaluate and report concerns for child maltreatment using clinical decision support embedded in the electronic health record.
(2) addressing well-recognized and long-standing racial disproportionality in the identification, evaluation, and reporting of child maltreatment.
It is our mission for electronic health record-embedded child abuse clinical decision support to be part of clinical care for all children seeking care in the Emergency Department of any hospital in the United States by 2031.
With your support we can get there!
