Buzzacott Running The London Landmarks Half Marathon for Pancreatic Cancer UK

London Landmarks Half Marathon 2025 · 6 April 2025 · Start fundraising for this event
Finding out you have pancreatic cancer is shattering.
In the last couple of years, Buzzacott family members, David Fardell (Buzzacott Partner), Sue Hopson (wife of Managing Partner, Tony Hopson) and Joyce Sellick (mother of team member, Joe Sellick) were taken from us by this terrible cancer.
On 6 April, over twenty Buzzacott team members will be running The London Landmarks Half Marathon in their memory, and raising vital funds for Pancreatic Cancer UK.
Pancreatic Cancer is the deadliest common cancer. The brutal reality is that diagnosis comes far too late for most people. Half of people die within three months of diagnosis. So, families are left with only hope to hang on to.
But hope is not enough. The disease must be detected sooner. And it can be.
Thanks to the work of Pancreatic Cancer UK's dedicated team of researchers, a simple test to detect the cancer earlier is within reach. It just needs more funding.
With people running, cheering and raising funds to support this research, together we can save as many lives as runners in this great race.
We will give it our all. We won't give up. And we will cross that finish line.
Many thanks for your support, financial or otherwise!! it is a great source of motivations whilst training!
