Story
In July I'll be doing a sponsored burpee challenge, 2681 burpees in less than 7 hours. That's one burpee to represent every stillborn baby from the UK in 2022 plus an extra one for my Son.
I'm raising this money to support one of the charities that has supported my family after we lost my son, Finn, to stillbirth in December. Annie and I have experienced an incredibly difficult time, by far the hardest of my life, and we've needed the support of Baby Loss Retreat to see us through.
Baby Loss Retreat was set up to help families trying to cope with the death of their baby. It was founded in February 2018 by Julie and Bryan Morrison who lost their daughter Erin. Erin was stillborn in 2003 at 37 weeks. Julie & Bryan started this retreat free of charge to bereaved parents throughout Scotland, providing a quiet environment to help couples reflect on their journey.
They provide Counselling, Trauma Therapy & Listening Music Therapy for siblings affected by loss. They also run support groups and offer families and opportunity at a retreat, a chance to reflect on their healing process and away from the rigours of everyday life.
