Story
In BSU, Collections & Recoveries we have a proud history of supporting charitable causes and for over a decade we have supported Crisis at Christmas each winter. We are even more excited to support it this year, given Crisis has been chosen as the Bank’s current charity partner.
In 2022 BSUC&R raised just under £3k which helped Crisis to provide support to around 100 people in great need. This year, we are hoping to exceed this total with your support and have extended our campaign to Nick’s wider BCB Credit teams as well as BSU, Collections and Recoveries.
What is Crisis at Christmas?
Across Britain over 250,000 households are experiencing the worst forms of homelessness, including sleeping on the streets, spending night after night on friends and families’ sofas or stuck in unsuitable temporary accommodation like nightly paid B&Bs.
Crisis are committed to ending homelessness, and Christmas is a crucial time to do that.
Because if Crisis can help people through the winter – with food, care, advice and help with a safe place to stay – they can help someone start their life beyond homelessness.
Every year Crisis at Christmas opens its doors to people who are facing homelessness at Christmas. As a national charity we offer much needed warmth, healthcare, food and company to people experiencing homelessness across the UK.
By donating this Christmas, you’re doing much more than buying someone Christmas dinner. A gift of a Crisis Christmas could give someone who is homeless access to:
• Support to leave homelessness behind for good
• A safe place to stay
• Hot meals and a Christmas dinner
• Access to health and wellbeing programmes
This year, the cost of a place at a Crisis at Christmas Centre is £29.73. All donations are appreciated, please feel free to contribute what you can!
