The Beatson Charity, based in the Beatson Building next to Gartnavel Hospital is a vital West of Scotland based charity. It not only supports cancer research but also offers direct support to cancer patients through services like their befriending service and the Wellness Centre.

The Wellness Centre, an oasis located on the fourth floor of the Beatson building, provides a calming environment for both inpatients and outpatients. Patients can relax in comfortable seating, enjoy scenic views of the West End, and have a cup of tea and a biscuit or two. The centre also offers games, reading material, and television, making it a welcome escape from the hospital wards. A true sanctuary for many, it is a sanity saver – a chance to come to a normal environment.

Bearsden Ski Club has many members who have benefited from the Beatson’s services and Bearsden’s Big Beatson Bash is a way of saying thank you and helping ensure that these facilities continue for other people.
