Story
Since it was set up 40 years ago, Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) has worked in Gaza, the West Bank, East Jerusalem and the refugee camps of Lebanon to support the health and dignity of Palestinians. With the prolonged assault by Israeli Occupying Forces upon Gaza, there has never been a time when the kind of humanitarian aid which MAP can provide was more relevant or necessary. We want to help widen the support for the charity and boost its income.
We have been planning for two years to cycle from Glasgow to its twin city of Bethlehem on the West Bank as an act of solidarity with the people of Palestine and to raise funds for MAP. The current volatility in the region means that the feasibility of the latter stages of the journey is uncertain at the moment. But we plan to set out - on 4th September 2024 - and get as close as we can. We welcome any and all support offered.
