Story
For anyone who’s new to our spaces, The Wishing Tree is a campaign we run annually to support our chosen charity partners. Rather than buying specific gifts which aren’t always sustainable for all, we aim to raise money to ensure the charities are getting the most value from donations.
At Little Green Sock Project, they believe every child deserves the basics to thrive. With a third of children in Greater Manchester living in poverty, and over 11,000 of those in Trafford, the need for support is greater than ever. They are a community-powered charity dedicated to making a difference for families in crisis, ensuring no child goes without essential clothing, equipment and essentials.
They harness the generosity of the local community to collect and redistribute quality pre-loved children's clothes and essentials. Working closely with referral partners like health visitors, foodbanks, and domestic violence refuges, they ensure that items reach the families who need them most—especially during times of crisis.
Little Green Sock Project offers a practical, powerful way for community to come together, help local families, and make a meaningful impact. Join in making sure no child has to go without. Together, we can support local families, protect our environment, and create a brighter future for all.
