Story
Many of you will know, that Amber is my little best mate. Saying goodbye to her last year was the worst. I was asked to be a trustee for Amber’s Army by Amanda and Jon way back when Amber was receiving care at The Nook. In the last year, everyone’s support has blown us away. We’re now supporting families and helping to create rainbows in the darkest of days.
Right, now who honestly thought you’d ever see me make 10k? I was given a bit of a kick up the backside before Christmas and have lost nearly 2 and a half stone and we’re reaching the end of February. I needed something to focus on and a goal to achieve so this is it (although some shocking minute writing in an Amber’s Army trustee meeting had me down to run anyway!). It won’t be me going hell for leather and running 10k, no chance. My goal is to make it round alive and not make a fool out of myself in the process (and no I’m not donning a Unicorn either)!
Anyway, feel free to come laugh, cheer, clap or whatever on the 8th September, anything to get me over the line will do. If you can, it’d be great if you could sponsor me. I’d love to raise £500 and shift some more weight in the process.
